Objective:

Pretend you're on "Fear Factor" and push yourself to try a "gross" food you'd normally pass up.

Details:

Do you remember the show Fear Factor? It was a show about facing fears, whether that be heights, being covered in bugs, or… yep, eating gross foods. The foods on the show were so nasty I decided not to post a video above, but if you’re curious you can check it out here. (Don’t say I didn’t warn you!) Luckily, we’re not asking you to go to Fear Factor levels of gross here… unless you want to!

1) Choose a food that you have a) never eaten before because b) the thought of it grosses you out.

Have you ever tried escargot? Raw oysters? Muscles? Durian fruit? Or how about the Norwegian delicacy lutefisk? Choose whatever you want as long as it meets the criteria above.

2) Eat it!

3) Take a photo to document your adventure and post it on Instagram or Twitter with the tag #QuestScouts. Alternatively, you can also share your photo in our Facebook group.

4) In the comments below, describe your “Fear Factor” experience. What did you eat? Where did you eat it? Describe the food and the experience of eating it? Was it as bad as you expected?
